Bengaluru, Dec. 30: Rifah Chamber of Commerce and Industry is on the spree of setting milestones in Karnataka. Spreading its tentacles at district levels and building a strong network of businessmen across the state is the task earmarked for the last quarter of 2023.

The Mysore unit has resolved to free at least 100 businessmen from the clutches of interest. In a unique business meet held recently, which was attended by 25 Islamic scholars (Ulama) apart from 30 reputed businessmen, it was decided to extend a helping hand to those who are still in teething stage. The evil effects of interest-based activities were impressively explained.

The state president of Rifah, Syed Mumtaz Mansoori highlighted the present economic scenario of Muslims in India. He briefed the Prophet’s style of building a parallel Madinah Market purely on Islamic principles which outsmarted the exploitative and dominant business tycoons.

Mr Mumtaz emphasized on the business skill development in the Ulama so that their services and role have a wider range. The call was well taken by the attendee Ulama with gratitude.

Earlier this month, big business meets were held in Bidar and Hubli. Apart from sensitizing about the importance of startup and scaleup, GST compliance and Digital payments in business were also covered in the technical sessions.

The sponsors of the events were categorized as Diamond, Platinum, Gold and Silver depending upon the quantum of responsibility they shouldered. More than 30 stalls were the windows to the members’ endeavours in various fields.
