Riyadh: ‘FutureX 2025’ Science Expo Showcases 120 Student Projects, Honors Young Innovators

Riyadh: The interschool science exhibition FutureX 2025 in Riyadh, organized by the International Indian Professionals Association (IIPA) in collaboration with Yara International School, featured more than 120 student projects and recognized outstanding young innovators, reported the Saudi Gazette.

Over 600 registrations poured in for the event, and participating schools competed in three categories: Junior, Middle, and Senior. The showcased projects tackled real-world problems — among them AI-enabled mobility canes, bionic arms, gas-leakage detection systems, and smart waste management solutions.

The expo began with the national anthems of Saudi Arabia and India. It was followed by a welcome address and sessions such as “Who Am I? Exploring Personality,” and a panel discussion on “Technology, Innovation and the Future of Education,” moderated by education and technology experts. In his remarks, one of the speakers stressed the value of combining coaching, neuro-linguistic programming, and creative thinking for an AI-shaped future.

During the awards ceremony, both students and mentors were honored. In the Junior division, Umaima and Inaya from MMEIS School won for a gas-leakage alarm system. The Middle division was won by Aaira Falak of Alif School for her waste management solution. In the Senior group, Nafeesa Khan of Al Yasmeen School was awarded for her project Navi Axis.

The event was described by Mrs. Aasima, Principal of Yara International School, as among the institution’s most successful, noting the high quality of both projects and panel discussions. Sponsored by Dar Al Bariz Group and Synem Technologies, the expo closed with acknowledgments to participating schools and mentors.
