Amidst lots of criticism of Mohan Bhagwat’s latest statement about temples’ row, the RSS mouthpiece, Organiser has come to his defence.
The Organiser, dated December 29, has editorially argued that knowing the real history of disputed sites and structures was important for “civilisational justice”. Against the common notion that history is history; it cannot be repaired, the magazine has come out with a new tool namely ‘civilisational justice’.
The Organiser on Thursday issued a statement that it stood for social harmony and that it fully endorsed Sangh chief Mohan Bhagwat’s recent statement on rising temple-mosque disputes.
Several Hindu outfits and leaders have openly disagreed with the views of Mohan Bhagwat. He was even blamed as filled with ‘Jihadi spirit’ when he spoke against the ongoing temples’ row.
“Organiser stands for social harmony… Organiser fully endorses Pujaniya Sarsanghachalak ji’s speech and his articulation on Bharat standing as a model of social harmony as a necessary precondition for being Vishwaguru. Hence, there is no need to create this controversy by pitching Organiser editorial against Param Pujaniya Sarsanghchalak Dr Mohan Bhagwat’s speech,” magazine editor Prafulla Ketkar said.
There is an unnecessary and misrepresented controversy over Mohan Bhagwat’s speech in Marathi, delivered in Pune, and linking it with the editorial of Organiser Weekly.
The Organiser editorial is written in the context of the Sambhal ground report on December 18. The speech delivered by Bhagwat in Marathi was on December 19. So contextualising Organiser editorial in the light of Bhagwat’s speech is inappropriate and unwarranted.
The editorial is written purely in the context of Sambhal-related developments after Organiser team visited there for a ground report and did not discuss about creating social disharmony on smaller issues every day.
“Organiser fully endorses Pujaniya Sarsanghachalak ji’s speech and his articulation on Bharat standing as a model of social harmony as a necessary precondition for being Vishwaguru. Hence, there is no need to create this controversy by pitching Organiser editorial against Param Pujaniya Sarsanghchalak Dr Mohan Bhagwat’s speech,” said Ketkar on social media platform X.
