Sachin Pilot Accuses Election Commission of Lapses in SIR Process

Jaipur: Congress leader Sachin Pilot raised sharp concerns over the ongoing Special Intensive Revision process during an interaction in Jaipur. He said voters and officials are facing distress during the verification drive. He noted that previous revision exercises did not create fear among people. He added that this year’s process has caused worry across states.

Pilot referred to reports from Bihar where the names of lakhs of voters were removed. He said the public received limited time to respond during the verification stage. He highlighted pressure on Booth Level Officers. He stated that officers in several states complained about work stress. He added that some officers died by suicide.

Pilot urged the Election Commission of India to work in an impartial manner. He said the Congress party is running a national campaign to ensure no voter loses the right to vote. He flagged cases of irregular voter entries. He said that some houses had more than one hundred registered voters. He added that some living voters were listed as dead.

He referred to earlier statements by Rahul Gandhi. He said Gandhi provided proof of vote theft. He stated that the actions of the Election Commission raised questions. Pilot appealed to the Commission to act without pressure from any party or government.

Pilot also commented on ongoing central investigations. He said several cases against Congress leaders were politically motivated. He added that the party trusts the judicial system. On Karnataka, he praised the Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister. He said the government is stable and will return to power. He dismissed reports linking him to an India Pakistan debate as fake AI news.
