Sadbhavana Manch Launched to Promote Communal Harmony in Belagavi

16 Jul. 24: On Sunday, the Jamaat-e-Islami Hind inaugurated the Sadbhavana Manch, an organization dedicated to fostering communal harmony, at an event held at Shanti Sandesh Sadan in Belagavi, Karnataka. The event saw the participation of various religious leaders who emphasized the crucial need for communal harmony.

Muhammad Kunhi, manager of Shanti Prakashana, outlined the objectives of the Sadbhavana Manch, expressing concern over the spread of false information aimed at dividing society. “Religion teaches us to promote unity and not division. It is our responsibility to build a society based on mutual love, trust, and respect,” Kunhi stated.

Prominent religious figures, including Mokshatmananda Swami of Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Madiwala Rajayogindra Swami of Rajaguru Sansthan Kalmat, Father Freddy Raj, Gyani Prabhjot Singh, Rajyogini B.K. Vidya, Dr Mohammed Sa’ad Belgami, president of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, Karnataka; Dr. Mohammad Salim Engineer, national vice president, and Mohammad Iqbal Mulla, former national secretary of JIH were present at the inauguration.

The leaders collectively stressed that the Sadbhavana Manch could play a vital role in eradicating mistrust and suspicion among followers of various faiths, highlighting that harmony is the need of the hour.
