– Mohammed Talha Siddibapa
Naunagar: After its remarkable success in Belgaum, the Sadh Bhavana Manch has now reached Naunagar, Bagalkot, continuing its mission of fostering love, unity, and social harmony among women from diverse backgrounds. This initiative, led by the women’s wing of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind (JIH), aims to counter rising divisions in society by providing a platform for interfaith dialogue, mutual understanding, and collective progress.
The launch of the Sadh Bhavana Manch in Belgaum last month was met with overwhelming support from women across different faiths and professional backgrounds. Encouraged by its success, the movement has now expanded to Naunagar, Bagalkot, where women from various walks of life gathered to voice their commitment to peace and inclusivity.
Prominent speakers at the event emphasised the power of women in shaping a more harmonious society. B.K. Nagratna (Brahma Kumari) highlighted the transformative role women can play in bringing about societal change, while Shanta Kardigud (Glidgud Church) stressed the importance of unity and understanding among women from all communities. Parvati Angadi (Advocate) praised the event as a historic moment, where Hindu and Muslim women stood together for a common cause.
The Sadh Bhavana Manch serves as a space where women can come together, transcend social and religious barriers, and address issues affecting them and their communities. The event in Naunagar saw participation from educators, legal professionals, law enforcement officers, and grassroots leaders, all uniting with the shared goal of fostering a culture of tolerance and coexistence.
Rajeshwari Vantakudri underscored the significance of women’s education and empowerment, while Head Constable Farzana Peerzade and KSRTC Depot Manager Saira Nadaf reaffirmed their commitment to supporting the initiative. Shelja and Sumitra from the Education Department spoke about the need for equal opportunities in education and leadership for women.
JIH women’s wing has been at the forefront of promoting peace and inclusivity, with the Sadh Bhavana Manch being one of its most impactful initiatives. Their vision is not limited to Karnataka; they aspire to see this movement spread across India, replacing discord with love and understanding.
The programme concluded with Ayesha Baji Potnal outlining the objectives of the Manch and its roadmap for future activities. Humaira Kapil, Assistant Secretary of JIH, delivered a powerful closing speech, addressing the social challenges women face and the urgent need for religious and social harmony. Local Nazima, Gulzar, extended gratitude to all attendees and organisers for their unwavering support.
The Sadh Bhavana Manch is more than just an initiative; it is a guiding light of hope and solidarity in times when polarisation threatens the fabric of society. The overwhelming response in Belgaum and Naunagar indicates that women are ready to take charge and lead the way toward a more inclusive and peaceful India.
As the movement gains momentum, it is poised to become a nationwide campaign for love, unity, and mutual respect. If this wave of positivity continues, the dream of a harmonious society may soon turn into reality – not just in Karnataka but across the country.
