Sambhal Authorities Enforce Strict Guidelines for Alvida Juma and Eid Prayers

In preparation for the upcoming Alvida Juma and Eid-ul-Fitr celebrations, the administration in Sambhal, Uttar Pradesh, has issued stringent directives to ensure peaceful observances. During a peace committee meeting held at Sadar Kotwali, officials emphasized that prayers should be confined to mosques and Eidgahs, explicitly prohibiting gatherings on roads or rooftops, reported the Times of India.
Additional Superintendent of Police Shrish Chandra stated, “It was clearly communicated and ensured that prayers will be conducted inside mosques and Eidgah only, and not on the streets outside.” He also assured that concerns regarding electricity and water supply raised during the meeting would be addressed promptly.
Sub-Divisional Magistrate Dr. Vandana Mishra added that requests for loudspeaker usage have been denied in adherence to government regulations. She mentioned that those who raised issues related to electricity and water during the peace committee meeting have been directed to the concerned departments.
The festival schedule includes Alvida Juma on March 28, the commencement of Navratras on March 30, and Eid-ul-Fitr on March 31. Authorities have pledged strict enforcement of these guidelines to maintain communal harmony during the festive period.
