30 May 2024: Saudi Arabia has condemned Israel following a series of deadly airstrikes on Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip. In a statement, the Saudi Foreign Ministry denounced the “continuous genocidal massacres committed by the Israeli occupation forces against the Palestinian people,” emphasizing that these actions target defenseless Palestinian refugees in Rafah.
The ministry declared that the Kingdom holds Israel “fully responsible for the ongoing violence in Rafah and across all occupied Palestinian territories.” It also criticized Israel for what it described as “continuous blatant violations of humanitarian resolutions, laws, and norms.”
This condemnation follows an Israeli airstrike on Sunday that struck tents housing displaced people near Rafah, reportedly killing 45 individuals. Saudi Arabia’s statement reflects a broader condemnation from several Arab nations regarding the attack, which has intensified calls for accountability and adherence to international humanitarian laws.
