Riyadh: Saudi Arabia has strongly denounced recent Israeli actions in Jerusalem and Gaza, labeling them as blatant violations of international law and humanitarian principles, reported the Saudi Gazette.
In an official statement issued on Tuesday, the Kingdom condemned the storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque by Israel’s Minister of National Security, carried out under the protection of Israeli police, and the subsequent expulsion of worshippers. The Saudi Foreign Ministry reiterated its firm stance against what it described as continued and flagrant transgressions against one of Islam’s holiest sites.
The statement also condemned Israeli forces for targeting a United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) clinic in the Jabalia refugee camp in northern Gaza. Saudi Arabia expressed deep concern over the repeated attacks on UN agencies, humanitarian organizations, and aid workers operating in Palestinian territories.
“The Kingdom categorically rejects any measures that undermine the historical and legal status of Jerusalem and its holy sites,” the statement asserted, calling for urgent international intervention to protect UN institutions and their personnel.
Saudi Arabia further urged the global community to take decisive action against Israel’s continued violations, warning that failure to do so would weaken international law and jeopardize peace efforts in the region. The Foreign Ministry stressed that unchecked Israeli aggression could threaten both regional and global stability.
The Kingdom’s condemnation comes amid escalating tensions in Gaza and Jerusalem, as Israeli authorities face increasing international scrutiny over their military operations and policies in the occupied territories.
