Saudi Ministers Highlight Global Reach and Reform Progress at Riyadh Briefing

Riyadh: Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Media Salman Al Dossari said content from Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s recent White House visit received more than 4 billion views within 48 hours. He said the figures show the Kingdom’s growing influence in global political and media spaces. He spoke at a press briefing in Riyadh attended by Minister of Justice Walid Al Samaani and members of the press.

Al Samaani said the Ministry of Justice recorded a 92 percent satisfaction rate this year, compared to 78 percent in 2022. He also said more than 5 million electronic case files have been processed as part of the Kingdom’s digital shift. He linked these results to the broader Vision 2030 reforms.

Analysts note that these announcements form part of Saudi Arabia’s effort to project stability, modernization, and international engagement. The government often highlights digital transformation and administrative upgrades as evidence of progress.

Human rights groups continue to question the Kingdom’s internal record on political freedoms and due process. They also point out limited Saudi engagement on major issues facing the Muslim world. Gaza is a leading example. Critics say the Kingdom has not used its political weight or regional influence to address the crisis in a meaningful way.

Observers say these concerns shape the wider debate about Riyadh’s role in global and regional affairs. They note the gap between public messaging on reform and the lack of strong action on issues central to Muslim communities.
