Sawant Maharaj: Expressing Love for Prophet Muhammad Promotes Harmony, Not Division

Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: At a press conference organized by Sadbhavana Manch, noted kirtankar Nitin Sawant Maharaj urged communities to uphold respect across religions and castes. He said that every faith teaches compassion and peaceful coexistence. No great leader or saint from any community has ever promoted hatred against others.

Sawant Maharaj emphasized that expressing love for Prophet Muhammad, who guided humanity toward peace and equality, is an act of harmony, not division. He reminded that the Prophet’s teachings to support the poor through zakat offer a model for social justice.

The Sadbhavana Manch aims to carry forward the mission of India’s Sufi saints by strengthening interfaith understanding and unity. During the press meet, Maharashtra Jamaat-e-Islami Hind President Maulana Ilyas Falahi announced that Sadbhavana Manch chapters will be established in several cities to promote peace and brotherhood among diverse communities.

Social activist Anant Bhavre said that a small section spreads hatred for political gain, while the majority of citizens desire peace and fraternity. Dr. Salman Mukarram Siddiqui, Dr. Rafiq Parnerkar, and engineer Wajed Qadri were also present at the event.

The speakers underlined that India’s strength lies in its diversity and shared values of compassion and respect. They called on people of all faiths to work together to preserve the nation’s social harmony.
