Hyderabad, Jan. 8: Jamaat-e-Islami Hind Jubilee Hills, along with GIO and SIO, organized a public program BEHTAR ZINDAGI KI TARAF “Towards a Better Life… Say No to Drugs” at Jayashankar Community Hall Site 3, Borabanda here Sunday.
The chief guests included Maganti Gopinath, MLA Jubilee Hills; Yalavarthi Venkateshwar Rao, Assistant Commissioner of Police; Mohd Azharuddin, Vice President JIH T.S; Khalida Parveen, Social Activist; and Abdul Rasheed, Social Activist.
Vice President JIH T.S. Mohd Azharuddin and Assistant Commissioner of Police Yalavarthi Venkateshwar Rao kick-started the campaign by cutting the ribbon.
President JIH Jubilee Hills Ruknuddin Nadvi explained that drug abuse has severe physical, mental, and social consequences, damaging health and relationships while disrupting communities. Overcoming addiction involves seeking support from family, friends, or professionals and engaging in rehabilitation programs that offer counseling, connecting with Almighty God, and coping strategies. Adopting a healthy lifestyle and education on drug dangers play crucial roles in preventing and overcoming addiction. With these multifaceted approaches, individuals can break free from addiction’s grip and lead fulfilling lives.
Mr. Venkateshwar Rao congratulated the JIH for such an initiative and extended support, stating that for such initiatives, the police department is ready to extend all kinds of support because this type of campaign helps youth get rid of such evils and brings change in youth.
Vice President JIH T.S., Mohd Azharuddin, said this campaign is the need of the hour in the nation and will kill the mother of evil. We should work more effectively to achieve the goal and at least bring change here.
Ruknuddin said that as part of the campaign, a bike rally was organized by Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, Jubilee Hills, held after Friday prayers. Starting from Hi-Tech Hotel Site-3, passing through Peeli Dargah, Swaraj Nagar, Borabanda Pankha, Moti Nagar, Sultan Nagar, Rajiv Gandhi Nagar, Sri Ram Nagar, and ending at Yousufguda Junction. At various stops, the harmful effects of drugs, campaign details, and the closing program were discussed.
We urged everyone to work together to maintain a society free from the harmful impacts associated with all kinds of drugs, reminding them of their responsibilities. Wherever our convoy stopped and discussions took place, people listened patiently.
