SBF Honors State Conveners for Outstanding Contributions in Disaster Management

New Delhi, July 15: In a gesture of gratitude and encouragement, the Society for Bright Future (SBF) honored its state conveners from 13 states across India for their remarkable contributions and unwavering dedication to disaster management. The awards ceremony took place at Hotel River View here Saturday.

The event was graced by chief guests, Atulya Bamzai, Deputy Director General of NCC, Rohini, Delhi, and Professor Masood Ahsan Siddiqui from the Department of Geography, Jamia Millia Islamia. Both dignitaries lauded the commendable efforts of SBF and delivered motivational speeches to uplift the spirits of the conveners. They emphasized the critical role of SBF in disaster management and advocated for joint programs to enhance the disaster management skills and field experiences of SBF volunteers, disaster management students of Jamia Millia Islamia, and NCC cadets.

Earlier in the day, a significant session was conducted featuring representatives from seven leading NGOs based in Delhi. These representatives shared their invaluable experiences and insights, fostering a collaborative and learning environment among the conveners.

Other notable attendees included Vision 2026 Director M Sajid, SBF President Maqbool Ahmed Anarwala (retired IG, Gujarat Police), SBF Secretary Shafi Madni, SBF National Coordinator Irfan Ahmed, SBF Volunteer Coordinator Aamir Jamal, SBF Training Panel Director Suresh Kumar, and PR Coordinator Ashhar Alam.

SBF, a dedicated NGO committed to disaster management, has consistently been at the forefront of relief and rescue operations during times of crisis. With a team of trained volunteers spread across 13 states in India, SBF is always prepared to provide immediate assistance. The organization’s mission is to extend help to as many people as possible during disasters, embodying its vision for a brighter future.

The two-day training and workshop for SBF State Conveners, which commenced on the morning of July 13th, concluded successfully. This significant event saw active participation from state conveners representing various states across the country.
