SBF Hosts Disaster Reduction and Resilience Training Workshop

New Delhi: The Society for Bright Future (SBF) hosted an intensive training workshop here, focussing on enhancing disaster reduction and resilience-building skills. Over 30 committed volunteers participated, gaining critical abilities for effective disaster response through hands-on exercises and drills.

Led by experienced trainer Mr. Suresh Kumar, the workshop included practical training sessions on essential emergency response skills, such as first aid, CPR, stretcher formations, and human-stretching exercises. Drills were carefully designed to equip volunteers with the proficiency needed to respond swiftly and effectively in crisis situations.

The event began with introductory remarks from National Coordinator Mr. Irfan Ahmad and Volunteer Coordinator Dr. Amir Jamal, who outlined the workshop’s goals. They emphasised the importance of teamwork, clear communication, and seamless coordination during emergencies, stressing each volunteer’s role in SBF’s mission to support communities affected by disasters. Their insights set the stage for the day’s training, reinforcing the broader impact of volunteer efforts on community resilience.

Mr. Shafi Madni, Secretary of SBF, delivered an inspiring address, commending the volunteers for their dedication and readiness to tackle future challenges. Mr. Shahzad, State Convener of SBF Delhi, extended a vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all participants and organisers for their contributions to the workshop’s success.
