Baran, Rajasthan: Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI) organized a mushaira to mark Martyrs’ Day at Anjuman Chowk here Tuesday.
The mushaira was attended by renowned poets from across the country, as well as many responsible people, workers, supporters, and peace-loving people from the city.
Presided over by SDPI Baran district vice-president Ehteshamuddin Siddiqui, the mushaira began with the recitation of the Quran. This was followed by singing of the National Anthem.
Mayank Solanki Benam Baranvi, Salam Azad Chhabra, Arshad Baranvi, Abdul Wahid Baranvi, Abdul Qadir Baranvi, Isharuddin Baranvi, Dr. Arif Chhabra, Rustam Ali Ghayal Baranvi, Akhtar Bakhtawar Mangrol, and Dr. Shakeel Kamil Baranvi recited their poems.
At the end, Mr. Siddiqui thanked everyone and concluded the mushaira.
The audience paid tribute to Mahatma Gandhi, other freedom fighters and martyrs, remembering their sacrifice. They said the martyrs’ sacrifice wouldn’t go in vain. “We are committed to fulfilling their dreams.”
The mushaira served as a tribute to the martyrs who had sacrificed their lives for the country.
