Pune: Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, Pune City, organised a grand Seerat-un-Nabi ﷺ Conference on 28 September 2025 at Parge Lawns, Kondhwa. The gathering drew more than 1,500 participants in person and over 2,000 viewers through online platforms, making it one of the city’s largest Islamic events of the year.
The program began with an introduction by Jamaat-e-Islami Hind Pune City Nazim, Tajammul Ahmed Khan, who outlined the vision and activities of the Jamaat and its affiliated organisations. He expressed gratitude to the Women’s Wing, the Students Islamic Organisation (SIO), and the Girls Islamic Organisation (GIO), whose coordinated efforts made the event successful.
Keynote sessions focused on deriving lessons from the life of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ for today’s challenges. Maulana Ilyas Khan Falahi, Ameer-e-Halqah of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind Maharashtra, spoke on “Family System and Social Reform in the Light of Seerat,” highlighting the Prophet’s emphasis on justice, compassion, and dignity within family and society.
Maulana Waliullah Saeedi Falahi, Naib Ameer of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, addressed the topic “Guidance from Seerat in Present Times.”
Maulana Waliullah Saeedi Falahi, addressing the gathering, said that the life of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) is a message of guidance and compassion for all humanity. He reminded the audience that true love demands sacrifice—of time, wealth, and even life if required. Emphasizing the Prophet’s mission, he noted that the Prophet raised his voice against oppression and injustice while restoring dignity and rights to women. Referring to present-day challenges, he said that the Muslim community needs patience, love, and high moral character more than ever. He concluded that only by following the Prophet’s example can society achieve peace, justice, and unity
The event also featured stalls by the Islamic Book Store, PSF, Rifah Chamber of Commerce, SIO, and GIO, offering books and resources on faith, education, and community development.
The conference concluded with a dua by Maulana Ilyas Falahi, followed by a renewed pledge to uphold the Seerat-un-Nabi ﷺ as a guiding principle for personal and collective life. Organisers said the overwhelming response reflected a strong desire among Muslims to draw strength and solutions from the Prophet’s example in addressing contemporary issues.
