Aligarh: The “Uttar Pradesh State Seminar on Doping and Technical Conduct in Modern Athletics” was successfully organised through a joint initiative of the Uttar Pradesh Athletic Association and the Games Committee of Aligarh Muslim University (AMU).
The Chief Guest, Prof. Mohd. Mohsin Khan, Pro-Vice Chancellor, AMU, distributed certificates and appreciated the efforts behind the seminar and emphasised the need for continued awareness on doping and ethical sports practices. He also highlighted AMU’s world-class sports infrastructure and encouraged students to maintain their engagement in sports beyond academic life.
The seminar, conducted under the guidance of Prof. Zamirullah Khan and Mr. Samshad Nisar Azmi, aimed to educate participants about the latest technical regulations in athletics while addressing the growing concerns around doping. Sessions focused on fair play, discipline, and sportsmanship, with expert speakers elaborating on anti-doping policies and modern technical standards. Interactive discussions encouraged attendees to clarify doubts and engage with evolving trends in athletics.
The event, which served as a valuable platform to promote fitness, ethical conduct, and technical excellence in sports, was attended by Mr. Kamran Khan, Mr. Mohd Adnan, Mr. Ashraf Khan, Mr. Mohd Asim, Mrs. Sana Raza, Mr. Mohsin, Mr. Zeeshan Nawab, and Mr. Meraj Ahmed, who contributed to the seminar’s success.
