Aligarh: Sir Shah Sulaiman Hall, Aligarh Muslim University, organised its annual function Shaam-e-Sulaiman ’25 with great fervour on May 24, 2025, at the Central Lawn of the Hall under the leadership of Dr. Fasih Raghib Gauhar, Provost. The date was specially chosen to commemorate the 150th anniversary of AMU.
Chief Guest Justice Ifaqat Ali Khan, Former Judge, Allahabad High Court, urged students to uphold discipline, honesty, and excellence in their pursuits. Prof. M.J. Warsi, Former Chairman, Department of Linguistics, highlighted AMU’s cultural legacy and the enduring bond between the university and its alumni. Additional District & Sessions Judge, Mr Mohd. Nasim, and Prof. Mohd. Hasan, Director, Residential Coaching Academy, also addressed the gathering, emphasising the importance of academic focus, discipline, and cultural engagement.
The event was organised with support from the hall administration and coordinated by student leaders, including Md Umar Iqbal (Senior Hall), Md Faiyazullah, and Mujassim Ahmad Bhati (Senior Food). The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Md Umar Iqbal and a formal dinner, celebrating the spirit of unity and tradition that defines Sir Shah Sulaiman Hall.
