Mangalore: The Shaheen Group of Institutions has partnered with Shepherds International Academy to establish Shepherds Shaheen in Arkula, along the Mangalore-Bangalore Highway. The collaboration was announced at a press conference at the city’s Press Club.
Dr. Abdul Qadeer, Shaheen’s Chairman and Founder, emphasized education that blends academics with character building. “We aim to shape students into responsible citizens before they become professionals,” he said. Shaheen’s approach ensures both knowledge and values.
This marks Shaheen’s first step into Mangalore. The new Shepherds Shaheen campus spans 3.6 acres, offering modern facilities in a serene setting. The goal is to provide world-class education in a peaceful environment.
Mohammed Nissar, Chairman of Shepherds Academy, said the decade-old institution’s progressive education, combined with Shaheen’s expertise in competitive exams, will create new opportunities for students in the region.
Sheikh Shafiq, Regional Head of Shaheen for Bangalore and Mangalore, highlighted its excellence in medical and engineering coaching. Founded in 1989 in Bidar, Shaheen began with 17 students and now operates 105 branches across 13 states, including Saudi Arabia. Over 40,000 students study at Shaheen institutions.
Since 2008, Shaheen has helped over 5,000 students secure MBBS seats in government colleges, including AIIMS Delhi. In Karnataka, its students consistently claim 1% of MBBS seats nationally and 15% within the state.
Shaheen, especially strong in Bidar, is known for its innovative curriculum, expert faculty, and student-focused approach. The Shepherds Shaheen campus further strengthens its commitment to educational excellence.
