Shaheen Group Hosts Indian Muslims Vision 2047 Convention

Bidar: The Shaheen Group of Institutions organised a mega event here, showcasing the futuristic approach of Indian Muslims.

In his inaugural talk, chairman of Shaheen Group Dr. Abdul Qadeer spelt out Shaheen’s three decades journey in the mission ahead. A desire converted into resoluteness followed by hard work has set several milestones in the field of education.

Dr. Qadeer said the convention aims to present a vision of Indian Muslims by the end of the century of Indian Independence i.e. 2047. Various fields like education, information technology, economics, politics, media and madrasa education are in focus, he added. This conference provides a platform for our scholars to chalk out a concrete plan.

Elaborating the need of a vision, Abu Saleh Shariff, former member of Sachar Committee, said if we do not think ahead we will land into troubles. If we start working with a vision, we will succeed. For a dignified life in India, Muslims should have cent percent voters.

Former vice chancellor of Aligarh Muslim University, Zameeruddin Shah called for strong educational system. Juma platform should be utilised to emphasise the collective system of Zakat, he said.

Several eminent personalities, including Dr. Abdul Hai from Patna and Ziaulla Sheriff, Bengaluru, were given the lifetime achievement awards.

S. Ameenul Hasan, Vice President Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, spoke about economic empowerment of the community and quoted the efforts rendered by Rifah Chamber of Commerce. Dr. Taha Mateen, Karnataka State Secretary of JIH emphasised the health aspect while Moulana Mustafa Nadvi, founder of Hifzul Quran Plus, highlighted the importance of educating Madrasa dropouts. Another scholar Abdur Raheem Kidwai laid emphasis on understanding the Quran and reaching to the core issue of purpose of human life and how to attain it.

Young and dynamic activist Wali Rahmani said in another 23 years we need to focus on education and only education.

Several other dignitaries like Wali Faisal Rahmani, Dr. Shoaib Khan, Dr. Javed Jamil, Atif Ismail, Shamail Nadvi, and H.Abdur Raqeeb also presented their vision for the community in their respective fields. Rahim Khan, Minister for Haj and Municipal Administration Karnataka, also spoke on the occasion.

The programme concluded with appreciation of various scholars for the contributions and presentation of mementos to them by the host, Dr. Abdul Qadeer.
