In an ambitious move towards uplifting student ethics and catalyzing social change, the Students Islamic Organization of India (SIO) Andhra Pradesh inaugurated a 50-day campaign titled “Continuous Struggle towards Empowering Ethical Studentdom, Ensuring Social Change” on Saturday. The campaign was formally unveiled through the unveiling of posters by Muhammad Rafeeq, Zonal Patron of SIO AP, alongside General Secretary JIH AP Muhammed Kareemuddin and SIO AP president Roshan Zameer Khan, accompanied by State Secretaries Hafeez and Fahad, among other dignitaries.
Roshan Zameer Khan articulated the organization’s vision behind the campaign, emphasizing the urgent need to amplify ethical values and societal responsibility among the student populace across the state. The overarching objective is to nurture students to comprehend life’s true essence, develop exemplary character, pursue meaningful careers, foster virtuous relationships, combat societal ills, and strive for holistic success.
Detailing the campaign’s structure, Khan outlined four distinct phases. The initial phase will focus on extensive outreach activities, including public meetings, student gatherings, professional interactions, door-to-door visits, and cadre assemblies, aimed at forging robust connections statewide. This will be followed by summer camps and vocational classes to equip students with essential life skills, career guidance, and higher education orientation. The subsequent phase involves specialized training camps to empower individuals with diverse skill sets and knowledge.
Khan underscored SIO’s commitment to expanding its influence and presence throughout the state. Recognizing the pivotal role of education in instilling moral values and purpose among students, SIO advocates for an educational framework that imparts profound insights into life and existence.
Acknowledging prevalent societal challenges, Khan highlighted issues such as moral erosion within the education system, the involvement of highly educated individuals in criminal activities, and the susceptibility of teenagers to social vices exacerbated by pandemic-related stress and substance abuse.
Aligned with SIO’s mission of preparing youth for societal reconstruction grounded in divine principles, campus initiatives will prioritize fostering moral values within educational institutions to nurture an ethical academic environment conducive to holistic growth.
The 50-day campaign aims to address critical societal issues and catalyze positive social transformations among students and society at large.
