Jodhpur, Jan. 5: The Students Islamic Organization (SIO) Jodhpur Unit organised a two-day cricket tournament Students Premier League (SPL) at Muslim School, Pal Link Road from December 30 and 31. Jodhpur Kings, Marwar Royals, Blue Birds, and Suncity Warriors teams participated in the competition of this tournament.

The final match took place between Team Blue Birds and Jodhpur Kings, in which Jodhpur Kings emerged as the winner. The winning team was honored with a trophy and all the players with medals.

In the closing ceremony, Welfare Party of India Rajasthan State Secretary Zakir Hussain and SIO Rajasthan State Secretary Mohammad Sadiq were present as special guests. The players of all the teams were encouraged by the guests by giving them prizes.

Zakir Hussain said all the players should show sportsmanship on the field. Neither can one play a cricket match alone nor can anyone win alone, for this the entire team has to work together to achieve victory.

Mohammad Sadiq said SIO works for the all-round development of students, hence along with studies, we also organize sports competitions from time to time. Sports play a very important role in the lives of students. Students can easily understand the important lessons of struggle in their life in the playground.

Iqra Public School Principal Mohammad Riaz was present as a commentator in the two-day match. Former SIO unit president Arshad Ali and Razaullah were also present at the time of award distribution. Jodhpur unit president Musab Ali thanked the players and guests of all the teams.
