New Delhi, Sep 2: The Student Islamic Organisation of India (SIO), Delhi Zone, in collaboration with Shafi Moonis Academy of Resource Training and Development (SMART), hosted a two-day certificate course titled “The Art of Public Speaking” at The Scholar School here Saturday and Sunday. The course aimed to refine the public speaking abilities of students and youth.
The workshop covered fundamental aspects of public speaking, including its essential elements, etiquette, and the balance of verbal and non-verbal communication.
Participants engaged in comprehensive sessions on structuring speeches, enhancing clarity, and making a lasting impact through their presentations.
The course sought to build confidence and improve the overall effectiveness of the participants’ communication skills.
The course started with the inaugural words of Mr. Imrul Quesh (President – SIO Delhi). Distinguished speakers including Mr. S. Ameenul Hasan (Renowned Public Speaker), Mr. Ateequr Rahman (Professional Life Coach), Mr. Muhiuddin Ghazi (Secretary, JIH), Dr. Shadab Munawar Moosa (Director, SMART), Mr. Salman Ahmed (Asst. Secretary, JIH), Mr. Sajid Ahamad (NLP Trainer and Practitioner), Mr. Prashant Tandon (Broadcast Journalist), and Mr. Aneesur Rahman (Secretary, SIO of India) contributed to the event, sharing their expertise on various facets of public speaking and personal development.
At the end, Mr. Salimullah Khan (President – JIH Delhi), in his concluding remarks, encouraged the participants to live a purposeful life.
The course proved to be a valuable opportunity for participants to delve into the nuances of effective speech delivery, with an emphasis on building confidence and maximizing the impact of their messages.
