SIO Delhi Organizes Round-Table Discussion on Students Manifesto: Addressing Key Issues for Upcoming Parliamentary Election

SIO Delhi organized a Round-Table Discussion on Students Manifesto for upcoming parliamentary election. Ramees Ek (President, SIO of India), Dr. Syed Qasim Rasool Ilyas (Secretary, All India Muslim Personal Law Board), Mr. Salimullah Khan (President, JIH Delhi), Dr. Roshan Muhiuddin (Director, CERT), Adv. Zahid Hussain (Advocate, Delhi High Court), and Razi Alhasan (General Secretary, SIO Delhi) addressed the gathering on various topics.

The program commenced with a Quranic verse by Ibrahim Khan (Secretary, SIO Delhi).

Clarifying the purpose of the manifesto, SIO President emphasized the need to address educational disparities and decreased budgets for minority institutions. He also underlined the need to unite students, common people, campuses, and societies to convey their issues to political leaders.

Dr. Ilyas highlighted the threats to Indian democracy, pointing out that the government is shifting focus from fundamental issues to religious politics, with concerns about the diminishing secular nature of the state.

The discussion concluded with the closing remarks of Imrul Quesh, SIO Delhi President. Student leaders from various institutions, including DU, JNU, JMI, and other prestigious institutes, actively participated in the meeting.

At the end of the discussion, they released the manifesto.
