SIO Hosts Education Programs Under “Padho Aage Badho” to Boost School Enrollments

-Raheem Khan
The Students Islamic Organisation of India (SIO) Rajasthan , recently held multiple educational programs in Jaisalmer. These events were part of the Western Rajasthan Education Movement. The initiative was conducted under the banner Padho Aage Badho (Study and Progress). Its goal is to increase school enrollments as the new academic session begins.
Programs were held at two major madrasas—Madrasa Kadariya and Madrasa Anwarul Uloom. Sarfaraz Ahmad, the convener of the movement, led the events. Speaking to students and parents, Ahmad explained the mission of the movement, launched by SIO Rajasthan in 2019. He said it promotes educational awareness and equal learning opportunities across Western Rajasthan. He also mentioned the upcoming Board Award Program, meant to honor students who perform well in board exams.
The chief guest of the event was Mr. Salim Akhtar. He spoke on Education and Morality. Akhtar urged students to aim for academic success while maintaining strong moral values. His words inspired both students and parents.
About 100 students, including boys and girls, took part in the programs. They listened actively and engaged with the topics. The event ended with a prayer by Mufti Ishaq Sahab, a respected madrasa scholar.
Padho Aage Badho shows SIO Rajasthan’s dedication to improving education. The campaign targets areas where quality education is limited. Through such efforts, the movement hopes to motivate students and support their academic growth.
