SIO Hosts Two-Day STEM Campus Leaders Workshop in Bangalore

Bangalore— The Students Islamic Organisation of India (SIO) successfully organised a two-day STEM Campus Leaders Workshop in Bangalore, aiming to equip its cadre with the tools to engage with their academic disciplines through an Islamic perspective. The program sought to encourage meaningful dialogue on campuses and foster an environment conducive to Islam and the Islamic movement.

The workshop brought together scholars, intellectuals, and leaders who guided participants on how to integrate scientific knowledge with Islamic values while contributing to academia and society. Sessions covered topics ranging from ethical dimensions of science to leadership qualities rooted in Islamic principles.

Distinguished speakers included Dr. Taha Mateen, Dr. Abdul Khabeer, Dr. Arif Ali, Prof. Abdul Azeez, Dr. Mohammad Rizwan, SIO National President Abdul Hafeez, Former National President Salman Ahmad, and Former National Secretaries Maaz Salman Maniyar and Nihar Kidiyoor. Each shared insights on the challenges faced by students in STEM fields and the importance of developing a holistic outlook that aligns with faith, knowledge, and service.

Speaking at the event, SIO leaders stressed that such initiatives are essential to nurture visionary leaders who can bridge the gap between modern scientific disciplines and Islamic thought. The workshop concluded with a renewed commitment to empower students to contribute positively to academic circles, society at large, and the broader Islamic movement.

Through this and similar programs, SIO reaffirmed its dedication to its motto — Study, Struggle, Service.
