SIO Hyderabad Delegation Engages with Newly Appointed MLCs on Student Issues

Hyderabad, Aug 29: A delegation from the Students Islamic Organisation of India (SIO) Hyderabad, led by its City President, Hafiz Hammaduddin, recently met with the newly appointed Members of the Legislative Council (MLCs), Amir Ali Khan, Editor of Siasat Daily, and Prof. Kodandaram, President of Telangana Jana Samithi (TJS). The meetings, held at their respective offices, were marked by discussions on key issues affecting the student community and minorities in Telangana. The delegation included Adv. Abdus Sami, PR Secretary of SIO Hyderabad, and Adv. Zubair.

The delegation took the opportunity to highlight several pressing issues that require attention at the legislative level. The topics discussed included the need for timely and adequate student scholarships, concerns over the Waqf Amendment Bill, and issues faced by institutions under the Telangana Minorities Residential Educational Institutions Society (TGMREIS).

Mr. Khan and Prof. Kodandaram both assured the delegation of their commitment to addressing these concerns and advocating for the rights of all communities. They emphasised their intent to actively work towards ensuring that the issues raised are given due consideration in the state legislature.

“These meetings highlight SIO Hyderabad’s steadfast commitment to advocating for the educational and social rights of students, particularly those from minority communities in Telangana,” said Mr. Hammaduddin.

“Our organisation remains dedicated to ensuring that the concerns of all communities are heard and addressed through the state’s legislative and executive channels.”
