Barmer, July 11: The Students Islamic Organization of India (SIO) Rajasthan Zone has launched a series of education awareness programs in the border districts of Western Rajasthan under the Western Rajasthan Education Movement. These initiatives, held from July 4 to 6, aim to promote education in the region.
During this period, Salim Akhtar, SIO Convener for the Western Rajasthan Education Movement, and Muhammad Farhan, a member of SIO’s Mangrol Unit, visited Barmer district. They organized various activities to raise awareness about education in the areas of Gageria, Jane Ki Beri, Pandhi Ka Par, and Mithi Ka Tala.
On July 4, a student meeting was held at the Jane Ki Beri Madrasa, followed by a nukkad sabha (street corner meeting) in the village. The following day, a rally was organized in Gageria with the students of the Government Higher Secondary School. Students chanted slogans highlighting the importance of education and encouraging people to pursue it. The rally concluded with a nukkad sabha in the Gageria Bazar.
Another rally took place in Pandhi Ka Par village with the students of MVM Desert Higher Secondary School, where students once again chanted slogans to raise education awareness among the villagers. The event also featured a nukkad sabha.
In Mithi Ka Tala village, a nukkad sabha was held, where Salim Akhtar addressed the community about the critical need for education in today’s world. Throughout these events, posters designed by the Western Rajasthan Education Movement were displayed to further promote the cause.
On July 6, a student meeting was organized at Madarsa Madinatul Uloom Gageria, where Salim Akhtar spoke to the students about the significance of education in the current era. The meeting also saw the release of a new poster by Maulana Abdul Haq, the muhtamim of the madrasa.
These education awareness programs by SIO are a commendable effort to promote education in the border districts of Western Rajasthan. As education is essential for the development of individuals and society, it is hoped that these initiatives will inspire more children to pursue their studies.
