Socialist Party Delegation, Malegaon Chapter Urges Action Against Social Media Misuse in Malegaon

Malegaon: A delegation from the Socialist Party’s Social Media Cell met Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Karamveer Singh Sindhu, demanding strict action against the misuse of social media for personal attacks, abusive language, and derogatory remarks against women.
Led by Socialist Social Media Incharge Sheikh Anis Mistri, the delegation submitted a written complaint along with screenshots of offensive comments and group details. The complaint highlighted increasing online trolling, including a recent case involving a young man named Ishtiaq, 42, who was targeted with derogatory remarks.
The meeting, held at 3 PM under the leadership of Socialist Party District President Mustaqeem Dignity, also included a congratulatory note for ASP Sindhu on his promotion. The ASP assured the delegation that the matter would be taken seriously and that necessary steps would be implemented to maintain peace and protect women’s dignity.
Mistri stated that while political opposition is expected, personal attacks and disrespect toward women are unacceptable. The delegation, including Salim Goriez Bantiz Azmi, Amin Maqadam, and others, warned against the growing influence of WhatsApp groups linked to a communal MLA, which they claim are being used to disturb Malegaon’s social harmony.
