Coimbatore: The Solidarity Youth Organisation of Coimbatore district inaugurated the Solidarity Trophy and the Drug-Free Nation Awareness Exhibition today at Islamia School, Karumbukkadai. The events aim to steer youth away from all forms of addiction and towards positive alternatives such as sports.
The Solidarity Trophy was officially inaugurated by Coimbatore Deputy Commissioner of Police, Mr. Ajay Thangam AC, who encouraged the participants to embrace the event’s noble vision. Following this, the Drug-Free Nation Awareness Exhibition was launched by Mr. P.S. Umar Farooq, President of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, Coimbatore Metro.
Dr. Abdul Hakeem, President of Solidarity Coimbatore District, and other representatives of the Solidarity Youth Organisation were also present during the event.
The events, scheduled to run on December 7 and 8, have attracted hundreds of players participating in various matches. Additionally, the awareness exhibition has drawn significant public attention, emphasising the importance of a drug-free society. Visitors have been signing the pledge banner as a commitment to the cause.
The Solidarity Youth Organisation has invited the public to visit the exhibition and join hands in building a healthier, addiction-free nation.
