Souq-ul-Falah: JIH Women’s Wing Hosts Empowering Islamic Bazaar

Akola, Maharashtra, Feb. 14: Jamaat-e-Islami Hind Women’s Wing organized a daylong Souq Al-Falah (Islamic Bazaar) in front of Al-Falah Masjid on Sunday.

The event aimed to promote business skills among Muslim women, featuring 30 stalls with items such as clothing, children’s toys, sports equipment, books, and food, all sold at affordable prices. Notably, shops closed during prayer times, reopened afterward, and approximately three thousand women participated.

The annual Souq Al-Falah by JIH Akola women’s wing serves to boost confidence and business skills among women. The specific goal is to provide opportunities for trading on an Islamic platform, encouraging women to start their small businesses.

The event contributes to empowering Muslim women, with future plans for a short-term business program for women. Dignitaries from the women’s wing, including Fahmida Khanam, Sarwat Salma, Afeefa Khanam, Naziya Parveen, Seema Siddiqui, Mumtaz Begam, and Saba Firdous, were present on this occasion.
