New Delhi – Majlis Ulama Delhi, in collaboration with Ideal Relief Trust Delhi, organized a special program for Huffaz at the conference hall of Al-Shifa Multi-Specialty Hospital. The event, presided over by Hakim Ziauddin Ahmad Nadwi, Chairman of Al-Hikmah Foundation Delhi, witnessed the participation of 70 Huffaz.
The program commenced with a recitation of the Holy Quran by Maulana Salman Qasmi, Imam and Khatib of Al-Habib Masjid, Shaheen Bagh. Dr. Arif Nadwi, General Secretary of Ideal Relief Trust, delivered the inaugural address, introducing the objectives of the program and the role of Majlis Ulama Delhi and Ideal Relief Trust in community service.
Maulana Mohiuddin Ghazi, Secretary of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, delivered a thought-provoking lecture on “Ramadan, the Quran, and Self-Purification”. He emphasized the high status of Huffaz, stating that during Ramadan, they assume spiritual leadership in society. He urged them to actively engage in connecting people with the Quran and promoting its understanding.
Dr. Faisal Iqbal Falahi, Assistant Professor at Tibbia College, Karol Bagh, spoke on “Taraweeh and Health Issues of Huffaz”. He highlighted the virtues of memorizing and teaching the Quran, advising Huffaz to recite in a moderate pace during Taraweeh to minimize errors. He also provided essential health tips.
A special open session on health was conducted, featuring Hakim Ziauddin Ahmad Nadwi, Dr. Faisal Iqbal Falahi, Dr. Irfan Khan (Naturopathy), and Dr. Uzair Baqai (Managing Director, Baqai Dawakhana). They addressed various health concerns raised by participants, including voice strain during Taraweeh, acidity, meal timings, and fasting for diabetic patients. Dr. Irfan Khan elaborated on natural healing methods, while Physiotherapist Dr. Moin Alam demonstrated exercises to alleviate back and spinal pain, offering free consultations to scholars and Huffaz at his clinic.
In his presidential address, Hakim Ziauddin Ahmad Nadwi lauded the unique nature of this gathering in Delhi and congratulated the organizers. He stressed that fasting is both a spiritual and physical discipline, urging participants to avoid foods harmful to health. Highlighting the role of Huffaz as leaders, he encouraged them to actively contribute to the moral and spiritual upliftment of society.
Despite his health condition, Dr. Ahmad Minhajuddin, Director of Al-Shifa Hospital, attended the event and expressed his appreciation. Mohammad Ahmadullah Qasmi, Vice President of Majlis Ulama Delhi, delivered the vote of thanks, and the event concluded with a supplication by Qari Abdul Mannan, Imam of Masjid Isha’at-e-Islam.
As a gesture of appreciation, Baqai Dawakhana, Limra Remedies, and Drugs Laboratories Meerut jointly presented a medicinal gift kit to all attendees. Naeem Raza, National Secretary of All India Unani Tibb Congress (Pharmacy Wing), efficiently conducted the proceedings as the event’s moderator.
