Bengaluru: Solidarity Youth Movement Karnataka organised Startup Spark 2026, an entrepreneurship-focused programme, on April 18 in Bengaluru, witnessing participation from over 150 attendees, including aspiring entrepreneurs, industry experts, and mentors from across the state.
The event was organised under Ripple, an entrepreneurship and startup mentorship initiative of the organisation. Mohammed Suhail, Spark Coordinator, served as the Master of Ceremony.
The programme featured panel discussions on key aspects of building and scaling startups, with speakers sharing practical insights on sustainability, financial discipline, and long-term growth.
The first session, titled “Startup Journey: From Idea to First Milestone,” was moderated by Mohammed Abrar Asif. Panelists Dr. Shaima Sohenwardi (Integro Hospital), Sameer Khan (CA India), Abdul Khadeer Sirhatti (Larish Experiential Toys LLP), and Hamza Moazzam Ali (Standard Touch) discussed early-stage entrepreneurial challenges and opportunities.
The second session, “Beyond the Hype: Real Challenges in Scaling Startups and Fundraising,” was moderated by Abdul Khadeer Sirhatti and Ghouse Gadad. Panelists Mohammed Ali Sharief (Mount Judi), Syed Mumtaz Mansoori (Rugrel Private Limited), and Mohammed Khizer (ECO Crew) shared their experiences on scaling ventures and navigating funding processes.
Speakers emphasised the importance of validating business ideas with customers, maintaining financial discipline, building strong teams, and presenting clear and realistic plans to investors.
In his concluding address, Dr. Naseem Ahmed, State President of Solidarity Youth Movement, highlighted that ethical and socially responsible business practices are essential for long-term success. He urged youth to build ventures that contribute positively to society.
The programme also included interactive breakout sessions and networking opportunities, allowing participants to engage directly with mentors.
Organisers stated that the initiative aims to provide practical guidance to emerging entrepreneurs while fostering meaningful connections within the startup ecosystem.
