S Ameenul Hasan Outlines Seven Habits That Reduce Student Productivity at Workshop in Bidar

Bidar: A workshop held at Urdu Hall Taleem Sadiq Shah drew strong attention to the pressures faced by students preparing for competitive exams in Karnataka. The session titled “What Makes Us Non-Productive” focused on habits that reduce productivity and weaken academic focus. The event was organised by Wisdom PU College of Science NEET and JEE Academy for boys and girls in separate sessions.

S Ameenul Hasan, an international life coach and NLP trainer, addressed the students through a structured presentation. He advised students to set clear goals and plan their study routines with intention. He urged them to decide their daily tasks, schedule phone use with awareness, and track their progress. He identified seven habits that reduce productivity. These include excessive gadget use, mental stress, unhealthy habits, disturbed sleep, negative company, disorderliness and postponement of work.

S Ameenul Hasan described mental stress as a leading factor that weakens decision making. He identified familiar triggers that affect students, including exam fear, fear of failure, parental pressure, comparison with peers and disrupted sleep. He recommended practical steps like deep breathing and sensory grounding to reduce anxiety. His guidance included a structured exercise that asks students to observe five things, touch four, listen to three sounds, smell two and recognise one physical sensation. He urged students to build concentration by studying for a fixed duration and increasing it gradually. He also advised them to avoid placing expectations on others.

The organisers introduced Hasan as the recipient of the 2025 Wisdom Dedicated Educator Award. He was welcomed by Chairman Mohammed Asifuddin and felicitated by Secretary Mohammed Salahuddin Farhan. The college regularly hosts counsellors and mentors from across India for student support. Wisdom PU College attracts students from Karnataka, Telangana and several other states, and provides focused coaching for NEET and JEE. Admissions for 2026 are open with free stay and food for students and visitor passes for outsiders.
