Sikar, Jan. 4: The Sikar unit of Students Islamic Organization (SIO) of India organized a prize distribution program at Iqra Public School, Fatehpur Road by releasing the results of Islamic Knowledge Test (IKT) on Sunday.
A total of 290 students participated in the test, out of which 12 children who stood first, second and third in four different categories were honored with cash prizes and mementos. Mementos and certificates were also given to all the participants of the competition.
National Federation of GIO Vice President Khan Shaheen Jatu, SIO State President Mohammad Adil Saifi, Dr. Sabir, Jamaat-e-Islami Hind Sikar District President Arif Jatu, former District President Usman Ghani, SIO Sikar Unit President Mudassir and Secretary Mohsin Jatu were present as special guests in the program.
Vice President of National Federation GIO Khan Shaheen Jatu, asked the students to study hard to reap excellent results in exams. Today’s education system is based on rote learning method, through which good marks and rank can be achieved but not the ‘understanding’ with which one can take oneself and the society forward. As a result, behaviour, character, sense of responsibility and many other important aspects of life die before they develop in the students.
SIO Rajasthan State President Mohammad Adil Saifi said the real objective of education is to understand the difference between right and wrong, good and evil, false and truth and to prepare good and virtuous people for the re-construction of society. Therefore, there is a need to provide such education that shows the students the path to success with right thinking, right direction and moral education.
Jamaat-e-Islami Hind Sikar District President Arif Jatu warned all the students against the positive and negative effects of social media, asking them to use social media wisely.
JIH Sikar former district president Usman Ghani told the students to become good and true Muslims along with becoming doctors, engineers, etc.
Four groups were formed for the participants in IKT: Middle Group (Classes VI, VII and VIII), Secondary Group (Classes IX and X), S. Secondary Group (Classes XI and XII), and College Group (Degree and Diploma)
To participate in the IKT, different books were kept for different groups to read: Hamare Huzoor for Middle Group, Diniyat for Secondary Group, Importance of Time (Waqt Ki Ahmiyat) for Senior Secondary Group, and Basic Education of Quran Majeed for College Group
Cash prizes were given to the students coming first, second and third in all the groups, in which first prize was Rs. 1100, second prize Rs 800 and third prize Rs 500. Certificates were given to all the participants. Registration fee for participating in IKT was at Rs. 150.
