Pamphlets and Booklets Distributed in Lalita Park under the “Prophet Muhammad ﷺ: Mercy to Mankind” Campaign
New Delhi: Under the banner of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind Laxmi Nagar Unit, pamphlets and booklets in Urdu and Hindi were distributed among worshippers at a mosque in Lalita Park as part of the “Prophet Muhammad ﷺ: Mercy to Mankind” campaign. During the campaign, meetings were also held with members of the local community, and literature highlighting the life, teachings, and universal message of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ was shared with them.
The volunteers explained that Prophet Muhammad ﷺ was sent as a mercy for the entire humanity and that his teachings are based on peace, love, justice, brotherhood, and mutual respect. Members of the community showed keen interest in the campaign and engaged in meaningful discussions on various topics.
Following the outreach programme, the weekly Qur’an study circle of JIH Laxmi Nagar Unit, was held at the chamber of Advocate Rais Farooqi. On this occasion, the local Ameer, Falahuddin Falahi, delivered a lecture on Surah Al-Kafirun, emphasising that the chapter teaches sincerity in faith, steadfastness, and the importance of maintaining a clear position in matters of belief.
He explained that when the disbelievers of Makkah proposed a compromise to the Prophet ﷺ, suggesting that they would worship Allah for some time and Muslims would worship their idols for some time, Allah revealed Surah Al-Kafirun, decisively rejecting any compromise between truth and falsehood.
In his address, Falahuddin Falahi stated that the central message of Surah Al-Kafirun is that there can be no compromise in matters of faith and worship. While remaining firm in their beliefs, Muslims are instructed to treat others with kindness, justice, and respect. He noted that the Qur’anic message does not promote religious coercion; rather, it upholds freedom of belief and mutual respect among people.
Referring to the concluding verse, “For you is your religion, and for me is my religion” (Lakum Deenukum Wa Liya-Deen), he said that Islam does not seek to impose faith on anyone. Instead, it calls people toward truth through wisdom, good character, and peaceful dialogue.
He further remarked that in today’s diverse societies, where people of different faiths and backgrounds live together, Surah Al-Kafirun teaches believers to remain steadfast in their faith while respecting the beliefs of others and promoting peace, tolerance, and goodwill in society.
The success of the campaign was made possible through the active participation of Lalita Park volunteers Sanaullah, Athar Ansari, Masroor Alam, S.T. Raza, and Tameer, who contributed significantly to the distribution of pamphlets and booklets, interactions with community members, and various outreach activities. Participants reaffirmed their commitment to continue such programmes to spread the message of the Qur’an and Sunnah and to promote harmony, brotherhood, and mutual understanding in society.
