New Delhi, Dec. 20: The Archaeological Survey of India on Monday submitted the report of the survey conducted in the Gyanvapi Masjid complex and the list of evidences in the District Judge’s court. The report is in a sealed envelope. The District Judge has fixed December 21 for hearing and disposal of the petition filed by the temple and mosque parties.

The District Judge ordered that the objects and materials found in the survey, which are related to this case, related to religion and worship system or which are important for the disposal of the case from historical and archaeological point of view, are to be preserved.

The ASI survey in the Gyanvapi Masjid complex continued from August 4 to November 2.

Lawyer of Temple side, Vishnu Shankar Jain, objected to handing over the sealed survey report. Whereas the lawyer of the mosque side said in his application that the ASI survey report should not be given to the parties and their lawyers before the arguments in the court. On behalf of the women litigants Manju Vyas, Rekha Pathak and Sita Sahu in the Gyanvapi Masjid-Shringaar Gauri case, their lawyers filed an application in the court, demanding the ASI survey report be made available to them through e-mail.

In another case, Allahabad High Court on Monday postponed the scheduled hearing of the court commissioner appointment case on the Shri Krishna birthplace and Shahi Idgah Masjid (Mathura) dispute. The next hearing is scheduled on January 11.

After the order of court commission survey from Allahabad High Court in the case of Shri Krishna Janmasthan and Shahi Masjid Idgah, there is preparation to demand a similar order for Agra’s Jama Masjid.
