Syed Sadatullah Husaini Leads JIH Engagement with JPC Chairman on Waqf Amendment Bill

New Delhi, Sep 6: A high-level delegation from Jamaat-e-Islami Hind (JIH), led by its President Syed Sadatullah Husaini, held a detailed meeting with Shri Jagdambika Pal, Chairman of the Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) on Waqf Bill to discuss the Waqf (Amendment) Bill 2024 here Friday. The meeting also saw the active participation of Prof. Salim Engineer and S. Aminul Hasan, Vice Presidents of JIH.

Syed Sadatullah Husaini played a pivotal role in the discussions, emphasizing the critical importance of safeguarding the rights and interests of the Muslim community concerning Waqf properties. He voiced significant concerns regarding certain provisions of the proposed amendments, particularly their potential impact on the management and autonomy of these religious and cultural assets.
