Tablighi Ijtema Begins Near Hyderabad

Hyderabad: Thousands of people are attending three-day Tablighi Ijtema at Shankarpally in Rangareddy district on the outskirts of Hyderabad.

Various departments made arrangements for smooth conduct of the ijtema, which began on Saturday.

People from various parts of Telangana and other states are attending the ijtema. Ulama will deliver speeches on Islamic teachings. There will be speeches, Zikr-o-Azkar and duas.

The ijtema is being held on a land parcel belonging to the Electricity department, for which the necessary permissions were obtained from the relevant authorities. The organisers had been working for past 45 days to ensure all arrangements and the provision of essential amenities for the participants.

The organisers have arranged 25 dining areas, each with a capacity of 3,500 people. There are 12 large toilet areas, and six wazu (ablution) areas, each designed to cater to several thousand attendees.

Telangana government is extending its support to ensure safety of the attendees and the smooth conduct of the ijtema.

Amer Ali Khan, Member of the Legislative Council belonging to Congress party, participated in a coordination meeting involving the Revenue Department, Cyberabad Police, and members of the Tablighi Jamaat to review the arrangements.

Khan inspected the facilities prepared for the ijtema. He highlighted the significance of the ijtema, stating that it aims to bring Muslims closer to God and inspire acts of piety. “Islam is a religion that encourages doing good deeds, refraining from harmful actions, and guiding others toward virtuous paths while avoiding what is prohibited,” he said.

President and Vice Chairman of Telangana Minority Residential Educational Society Faheem Qureshi along with Rajya Sabha MP Anil Kumar Yadav, AIMIM MLC Rahmath Baig members Tablighi Jamaat and Government officials also held a review meeting and inspected the venue of the ijtema.
