Hyderabad: All India Majlis Tameer-e-Millat will hold its 75th Yaum-e-Rahmatul-lill Aalameen on September 22 (Sunday) at the Exhibition Ground here.
Moulana Mohibullah Nadvi, the imam of Parliament Street Mosque Delhi, who was elected from Rampur Parliamentary Constituency, will address the annual public meeting. This was announced by President All India Majlis Tameer-e-Millat Ziauddin Nayyar.
Maulana Abu Talib Rahmani; Muhammad Adeeb, former member of Rajya Sabha; Maulana Mufti Khalil Ahmad, Amir Jamia Nizamia; Maulana Dr. Ahsan bin Muhammad Al-Hamoomi; Maulana Hussamuddin Sani Jafar Pasha, Ameer Millat Islamia Telangana; Maulana Masood Hussain Mujtahdi, Member of the Muslim Personal Law Board; Umar Ahmad Shafiq will also address the congregation.
The socio-religious organization has been organizing Yaum-e-Rahmatul-lill Aalameen for the last 75 years.
The organization was formed when the Muslim community was passing through a crisis in the aftermath of the ‘police action’ launched to make the erstwhile Hyderabad State merge with the Indian Union. Tameer-e-Millat leaders say the organization tried to boost the morale of the community.
Its annual jalsa Yaum-e-Rahmatul-lill Aalameen became a tradition and it was aimed at enlightening the community to overcome socio-economic and political challenges of the time.
Tameer-e-Millat could not hold the annual congregation on Milad-un-Nabi in view of the Ganesh festival. Muslim organisations postponed their rallies and public meetings on an appeal by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy.
While the rallies were taken out on September 19, public meetings are scheduled to be held in the next few days.
The annual Jalsa Rahmatul-Lil-Alameen of All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) is scheduled on September 20 at the party headquarters Darussalam. Eminent Ulama, AIMIM president and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi will address the gathering.
This will be followed by all India Na’atiya Mushaira on September 21 at the same venue. Eminent poets from across the country will participate in the Mushaira.
