Tejashwi Yadav Pledges Muslim, Dalit Deputy CMs in Bihar Election Promise

Patna: RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav confirmed that the Mahagathbandhan government, if elected, will appoint three Deputy Chief Ministers representing the Muslim, Dalit, and extremely backward communities. The move is aimed at reinforcing the alliance’s social justice plank ahead of the Bihar Assembly elections.

Yadav, the Mahagathbandhan’s Chief Ministerial face, stated that the concerns of diverse social groups would be addressed through inclusive leadership. He also reaffirmed that Vikassheel Insaan Party founder Mukesh Sahani would be one of the deputies. Leaders within the INDIA bloc said the plan was designed to move away from perceptions of RJD-centered politics and represent Bihar’s full social spectrum.

The alliance’s manifesto, titled ‘Bihar Ka Tejashwi Pran’, outlines a 20-day plan to provide a government job to one member of every family after coming to power. It also promises Rs 2,500 monthly aid to women under the Mai-Behin Maan Yojana and free health insurance of up to Rs 25 lakh through the Jan Swasthya Suraksha Yojana.

The manifesto further pledges to restore the Old Pension Scheme, put the Waqf (Amendment) Act on hold, and ensure that the management of Waqf properties becomes transparent and welfare-oriented. The alliance also promises to hand over the management of Buddhist temples in Bodh Gaya to the Buddhist community.

Other commitments include raising reservations for Most Backward Classes and Scheduled Castes, reinstating the APMC Act, and guaranteeing minimum support prices for all crops to benefit farmers.
