Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to divide Pakistan into two pieces with a single blow.
The Congress leader also wanted Modi to recapture Pakistan-occupied Kashmir and merge with India.
Participating in the candlelight rally in protest against the Pahalgam terror attack, he urged Modi to emulate former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi who divided Pakistan by creating Bangladesh.
He urged the Prime Minister to fight against Pakistan like Indira Gandhi as the 140 crore Indians are ready to support the Central government. It is not time for politics and all should be united in this hour of crisis, he said.
Revanth Reddy called for rising above politics in the fight against terrorism. He said that all 140 crore Indians are united in this fight.
He said all people were fully backing the measures taken by the Indian government against Pakistan.
All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) president and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi and former Indian cricket captain Mohammed Azharuddin also joined the candlelight rally held on Necklace Road on the banks of Hussain Sagar.
Senior Congress leader and former minister for foreign affairs Salman Khursheed, Congress leader Pawan Khera and some foreign delegates attending the ongoing Bharat Summit in the city also joined the rally.
Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) president Mahesh Kumar Goud, Congress MLC and actress Vijayashanthi, ministers and others participated in the rally.
The Chief Minister and his Cabinet colleagues donned black scarves to condemn the terror attack that killed 26 tourists.
The participants were seen holding Indian flags and raising slogans against Pakistan.
