Hyderabad, March 30: Government of Telangana’s Advisor on Minority Welfare Mohammed Ali Shabbir has promised all help for Al-Shifa Hospital built by Jamaat-e-Islami in Nizamabad town.
Shabbir, a former minister and in-charge for Nizamabad Urban constituency, recently visited the hospital along with local Congress leaders and announced that Rs.25 lakh will be sanctioned from Constituency Development Fund to provide necessary infrastructure for early opening of the hospital.
The government advisor went around the hospital and had a detailed discussion with the leaders of Jamaat-e-Islami and Al-Shifa Educational & Welfare Society. They briefed him on the present status of construction of the hospital building.
The senior Congress leader was told that the hospital could not be inaugurated due to lack of infrastructure. He promised all the help to ensure that the hospital starts functioning as soon as possible.
Shabbir was all praise for Jamaat for building the hospital in a densely populated area in the town to provide healthcare services to the poor.
M.N. Baig Zahid, Secretary, Jamaat-e-Islami, Telangana explained to the government advisor the details of the hospital project.
Riyaz Tanha of the managing committee of Al-Shifa Hospital informed Shabir that the hospital will provide a full range of maternity services. He said the hospital will also have emergency medical services. It will also be equipped with laboratory, x-ray unit, scanning, ECG and pharmacy.
Mohammed Anwar Khan, member, Jamaat-e-Islami thanked Shabbir for announcing sanction of Rs.25 lakh from constituency development fund for the hospital.
