Hyderabad: The Telangana government has announced half-day school timings for Urdu medium schools, Urdu medium sections of parallel medium schools, and Urdu medium sections of DIETs across the state during the month of Ramzan.
As per the official order, the new timings—8:00 AM to 1:30 PM—will be in effect from March 2 to April 1. This decision follows requests from teachers of Urdu medium institutions, seeking a schedule adjustment to facilitate prayers and religious observances during the holy month.
According to a press release, TMREIS Vice-Chairman and President, Mohammed Faheemuddin Qureshi, took up the matter with the government, advocating for a change in school timings to support both students and teachers in fulfilling their religious commitments during Ramzan.
