Prophet Muhammad ﷺ The Epitome of Mercy, Character and Human Dignity
A meaningful and inspiring Seerah Seminar on the life and exemplary character of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ was held on September 6, at the R.J. Guest Hall, Coimbatore, under the auspices of the North Branch of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, Coimbatore.
The programme was enriched by the presence of eminent scholars and representatives from different faith traditions, making it a memorable occasion of interfaith dialogue, mutual understanding and communal harmony.
The distinguished speakers included Dr. Kumarasamy, former Director of the Collegiate Education Department; Rev. Fr. T.V. Karunakaran, President of the Ecumenical Christian United Forum; Rev. Fr. Siran, Director of Divyodaya; and Mr. Tony Singh, Administrator, Coimbatore Gurdwara Singh Sabha.
Each of them shared valuable reflections on the noble life, profound teachings and exemplary character of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, highlighting the universal values of compassion, justice, forgiveness, love and service to humanity.
Brother S.N. Sikander, State Secretary of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind Tamil Nadu, delivered the special address, emphasising the timeless relevance of the Prophet’s message in today’s world.
Earlier, Mr. P.S. Umar Farook, President of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, Coimbatore Metropolitan City, delivered the welcome and felicitation address.
The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from a large gathering of men, women, school students and members of the public.
As a token of remembrance, books were presented to all participants, and a dinner was also arranged for the guests and attendees.

This was much more than a seminar. It was a beautiful celebration of harmony, friendship and shared humanity. People belonging to different faith traditions came together to understand and appreciate the life of a Prophet whose character continues to inspire countless people across the world.
In an age when society needs greater understanding and harmony, programmes such as this demonstrate that dialogue builds bridges, mutual respect strengthens communities, and noble values unite humanity. In fact, in human history, Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, has been a towering personality who conquered hearts not through power or authority, but through his extraordinary character, compassion, mercy and love for humanity.
