New Delhi: On the auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Adha (Bakrid), people from diverse backgrounds and communities gathered at major mosques across the national capital to offer the special Eid prayers. The early morning scenes at Jama Masjid, Fatehpuri Masjid, and mosques in Seelampur, Okhla, and Nizamuddin were marked by large congregations of men, women, and children, all dressed in traditional attire, reported the Siasat.

Multiple checkpoints were established, and electronic surveillance was ramped up across sensitive areas of the city to monitor any untoward activities.
An official confirmed that all arrangements were aimed at maintaining peace and harmony during the festival.
The day of Eid-ul-Adha, also known as the Festival of Sacrifice, not only revives the story of obedience and devotion but also unites people in acts of kindness, sharing, and community prayers.
