Three Arrested for Displaying Palestinian Flag in Bihar’s Nawada

15 Jul. 24: Police have arrested three individuals for allegedly waving a Palestinian flag during a procession in Bihar’s Nawada district, according to an official statement on Monday.

The investigation commenced after a video surfaced showing people waving the Palestinian flag during a procession ahead of Muharram in the Dhamaula area on Sunday, reported Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) of Pakribarawan, Mahesh Choudhary, to PTI.

“An investigation was immediately launched. Based on the local police’s findings, three individuals were arrested for waving the Palestinian flag during the procession,” SDPO Choudhary said.

He added that the procession was conducted without the necessary permissions from the relevant authorities. The Palestinian flag was seized promptly, Choudhary noted.

Earlier, on July 13, Bihar Police booked two individuals for waving the Palestinian flag during a procession ahead of Muharram in the Darbhanga district.
