Hyderabad, Feb 21: Three buildings of Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) were inaugurated on Tuesday.
School of Commerce and Business Management, Hyderabad; Engineering Workshop, Hyderabad; and Polytechnic Building, Cuttack, Odisha were inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi through video conference at the Maulana Azad Stadium, Jammu.
MANUU Hyderabad campus has constructed two-storied Commerce and Business Management building worth Rs. 11.19 crores and three-storied Engineering Workshop building worth Rs. 25 crores apart from its Polytechnic building in Cuttack, Odisha which has been constructed at a cost of Rs 28.22 crore.
Prof. Syed Ainul Hasan, Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Ishtiaque Ahmed, Registrar along with Deans, Professors and heads of various departments participated in the video conferencing program.
Later, Prof. Ainul Hasan unveiled the foundation stone plaques installed on the buildings of Commerce and Business Management and Engineering Workshop at Hyderabad campus.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Hasan expressed his happiness that the Union Government has extended its support for the construction of infrastructure worth about 65 crores. He expressed hope that with this new infrastructure, the university will be able to achieve new heights in education and research.
Prof. Shugufta Shaheen, Prof. Siddiqui Mohd. Mahmood, Prof. Abdul Wahid, Prof. Badiuddin Ahmed, Prof. Mohammed Abdul Azeem, Prof. Saneem Fatima, Prof. Razaullah Khan, Prof. Najamul Hasan, Prof. Mohammad Fariyad, Prof. Farida Siddiqui, Prof. Aziz Bano, Prof. M. Vanja, Prof. Mohammad Khalid Mubashir-uz-Zafar, Mr. Rizwan Ahamd, Dr. Akhtar Pervez, Dr. Mohd Yousuf Khan and a large number of faculties were also present at IMC preview theatre.
