The Children’s Islamic Organisation (CIO), Maharashtra, recently conducted a successful three-day membership drive titled “Hum Ek Banenge, Nek Banenge” from January 3 to 5. The campaign aimed to strengthen the engagement of children aged 5 to 14 with Islamic teachings, character development, and constructive activities. It saw active participation across the state, with over 400 circles engaging in diverse events, including family meets, parenting workshops, competitions, and children’s conventions.
CIO, a platform designed to nurture children’s moral and educational growth, has been actively working in Maharashtra for several years. The organisation emphasises the holistic development of children by integrating Islamic values, ethics, and a sense of community. During the campaign, parents were encouraged to connect their children with CIO to ensure they remain protected from negative influences like screen addiction and harmful peer pressures. Activities such as quizzes, sports, art competitions, and field visits were organized to enable teamwork and leadership qualities among children.
Under the guidance of Bushra Naheed, Secretary, CIO Maharashtra and dedicated mentors, CIO provided opportunities for children to develop their potential, instilling in them a love for Islamic principles and a commitment to societal welfare. The campaign’s conveners, Mirza Naveed Baig and Maryam Jameela, lauded the participation and urged parents to continue supporting this initiative to secure a brighter, value-driven future for their children.
