Four Die in Sambhal Mosque Incident: SP Chief Akhilesh Yadav Blames BJP for Orchestrating Violence

At least four persons named Naim, Mohammad Bilal, Nauman, and Mohammad Kaif have died and several others injured in police firing in Sambhal district of Uttar Pradesh after situation turned violent following survey team visited the mosque. Samajwadi Party Chief Akhilesh Yadav has claimed that the event was orchestrated by the BJP.

According to Nadeem Khan, National Secretary APCR, Hindu Right Wings people who accompanied the survey team used provocative languages and the actions were taken only against Muslims.  Questions are also raised how these groups were allowed to accompany the Survey team.

However, Akhilesh Yadav on Sunday accused the BJP, along with the state government and local administration, of deliberately instigating violence during a mosque survey. He suggested that this was a tactic to divert attention from alleged electoral misconduct.

Yadav was quoted by PTI, stating, “The events in Sambhal were orchestrated by the BJP, the government, and the administration to shift focus away from electoral malpractices.” He further asserted, “A serious incident took place in Sambhal. A survey team was intentionally dispatched in the morning to disrupt discussions regarding the elections. The goal was to incite chaos, preventing any meaningful debate on electoral matters.”

Yadav also referenced reports indicating that numerous individuals sustained injuries during the unrest in Sambhal. He raised concerns about the rationale behind conducting a second survey when an initial one had already been completed.
